Hello little deerlings! Hope you are having a great day and upcoming Autumn!
In my last journal I mentioned that I had some big plans for Random Doom which got many of you excited. Since I am not sure when you guys will see the results of my works, I thought it would be fair to at least let you guys know what I am planning to do so you know I am doing stuff behind the curtains.
To but it simply, I am planning to give the comic a big make over and update. I am not planning to change the drawing style or anything but change some important things or update them. For example,
all character bios will be redrawn and updated! Current ones are old and the info is outdated so they need an update. Plus the art is old and I never really liked the bio sheets (even though everyone else seem to love them since I see so many pokemon bios in similar style). So, that is one thing I am planning to do.
Next, some character designs will change... Now now! Nothing too dramatic! To be honest, only Matthew is in my mind currently. For the longest time I have wanted to change the design of his cross so this will most likely happen. (in the middle of his comic? Wow Jenna! This is why you are not a professional comic maker!)
And next! Random Doom will have it's own font! I have made a font of my own handwriting! I'll do a random Random Doom strip soon where I will use this font and ask you guys if it is readable. Whatever the result is,
I will use a personal font on my comics to make them more unique.
And last... This is probably the most interesting one... You know Random Doom's current logo? Well, I was never happy with it since I am not a logo designer. So, I was thinking of changing it. But this time, I would like to have your help. I am looking for good logo designers for this task. But to make things interesting, what do you guys say if I held a
contest? Design a logo for Random Doom and it will become the official logo! Of course there would be other prizes too.
What do you guys say? If there is enough interest, I will hold it. If not, I will find someone to commission on this task.
Those are my current plans! I am not sure when we will start seeing the results... The contest will start soon if there is enough interest because I would plan to give you enough time to design it. Anyway! That is it for now! Back to drawing!
