Random Doom - What's Next?Hey my deerlings! Like I promised, I'm going to write a new journal about Random Doom and what are my plans for it.
Well... First I feel and I want to explain WHY RD has been well... dead for some time now. Well, I am not gonna sugarcoat it. I was honestly growing tired of it. I wasn't happy with it and it made me not want to continue it. And then people bugging me to continue it made me want to continue it even less! To make it short, I was not happy how the story and characters were at the moment and some impatient readers caused me to lose the interest and love for the series I used to have.
BUT! I am not stopping. I love these characters and there are still way more great and supportive readers than inpatient and demanding ones. But... For me to continue the series... I really have to clean the table and pretty much give RD a complete makeover. A new start.

Happy New Year + Good news!!Yaaaaaaaaaaay finally on 2013~!!

Man, I dunno about you guys, but 2012 wasn't that great, if you ask me .__. But I'll try and make this year a bit better for me, I hope this year's gonna be good for everyone~!!

How was the "End of the World" ? You know, mine started pretty funny, because yesterday in the night we had a Blackout , it was something like that:

Yeah that happened to me, the blackout made everyone started to panic, then the lights returned, but my internet was dead until the morning, but it was a bit funny because everyone started to scream just because the wind created the blackout

Tomorrow is "First Friday" which is a huge convention hear with live music, booths, art galleries, and lots of food, and it takes place in Downtown Las Vegas near the famous Strip im sure you have all heard of.
Anyways tomorrow i have a piece featured in a gallery called the CAC (Creative arts Center)~ and i absolutely cannot wait to go. Its going to be so. much. fun.

First of all, there is this thing here in Las Vegas, it is once a month on the first Friday of each month, and it is called "First Friday" (real creative right?) Its this kind of festival, convention, artsy fartsy thing that is just--ajhsgbnjskhgjf-- SO MUCH FUN~ Weirdos walking around, street preformers, venders of all shapes and sizes ~~food trucks but dont eat from them~~, ect ect.
My school happens to have one of the many booths set up around this neon jungle~ and it is free for students to sell their artwork from.

So today I went to see my guidance counselor and during the first firedrill I walked over to my art teacher from last year and asked to talk to her later on in the day.
So when I did She was talking to me and gave me this poster with all different jobs in art.
So we were talking and she was telling me about colleges and she said FIT college was a good art college and she said it also dealt with Fashion and technology and I was like .____________. -> :iconsqueeeeplz: And it wasn't incredibly expensive either. It is 1.5x

Photoshop Tutorial

Hey my little deerlings!

Remember that photoshop tutorial I mentioned long time ago I would do?
Well! I finally decided to start doing something about it! Last night, I wrote down a list of things I would like to talk about in it and I would like to tell you what I have planned. Because this will be multiple part tutorial, I won't be doing only one, but 3 or even 4 different tutorials.

Here are what I was planning to talk about in each part.

Part 1 - Getting to know Photoshop! Tips, tools and Tricks.

In this part, I would pretty much introduce you to photoshop and the tools that I use the most. I would teach you some of the most helpful tools and their shortcuts. Some words about layers and how to use them. And maybe something about filters and adjustments.

This is obviously not that important if you are already quite familiar with photoshop but you might learn something new. The main reason though is to make you familiar with some of the tools so I don't have to explain them in later parts.

Part 2 - General drawing tips.

I might put this together with part one... Depends how long it gets. But here I would tell you some tips on how to start and some pose and general drawing advices.

Part 3 - Lineart

Now here the main thing starts! Here, I show how I make my lineart. We would be concentrating on this style, [link] but the same tips I give here can be used in ANY lineart style.

Part 4 - Coloring + Finishing touches.

And the last part! Here I would show how I color my works. And maybe some finishing touches.

Also, I can't promise this but I would LOVE to make video tutorials going along these. It's one thing to write about these but seeing how it's done is also something else! I would love to do real time videos of me sketching, drawing and coloring one simple work so you get the idea how I work. Remember, I can't promise this but I'll do my best to get the video versions too. They would be like those speedpainting videos people do in youtube. Except, without the speed. I want you to be able to see and follow what I do.

I hope you really like this! And now I need to start working on this! Now that I wrote this journal, I really can't back off.

I've had Photoshop for about a year now, It's just so complicated. This will be great, your drawing style & the way your pictures look is definitely the way I'd want mine to be. AND now that you've written this journal, you can't really back off!

Aw man, this will be fantastic! I've had Photoshop for quite some time now and whenever I open it up, it blows my mind. I'm so used to working with GIMP (lol, my wonderful knockoff program that costs nothing) I'm just not used to the complexity of it all. So in advance, thank you for doing this! It'll certainly help a TON of people!~

Nice to hear that. And haha! Yeah, I have the same thing when I open my Flash or After Effects. I wish I could find some simple starter tutorials for them.

I'll try to do my best when making the first tutorial and talk about things I would like to know when starting to learn a new program.

Really? Intimidated by Flash? Looks complicated but it's really a no-brainer once you're familiar with Photoshop, same goes for After Effects (Plus, being able to turn a toy lightsaber battle into a real one or making kamehamehas was enough to keep me motivated enough to learn to use it xD)

A fun idea might be to try using Livestream when you start working on the tutorial videos; you'll be able to record what you're doing, how you're doing it, and answer some questions on the fly in the process.

And the videos, in turn, could be uploaded onto youtube or such. =3
