Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Important Announcement

Hello little deerlings! BtG here with important stuff to tell.

I have some good news! I got a job! Yeah! Wohoo! I am now part of this GamePro project. The basic idea of this project is that I we get a study job in one local video game company and for the next seven months, we get to work with them and get some very interesting video game related study days. And of course, it's paid. The ultimate goal is to get a permanent job from your company in the end.

So, I got a job as a junior graphic designer in Sulake (they made Habbo hotel if you know that). Not sure what I'll be doing just yet but I'll know soon. My job starts tomorrow (Wednesday).

Now this obviously means that I won't be on DA that often anymore. You see, the past year or so I've been working as a freelancer artist from home which meant I could just hang in DA all day and draw on my free time. But now, that is obviously not the case anymore. I don't know how much this will affect my free time art but I know it will.

So yeah. Just wanted to let you know. Gosh I feel old... Getting a job and finally starting my own life and truly supporting myself. Which reminds me... I need to move again this year. I can no longer live in this student apartment since I am no longer student. Thankfully I am in no hurry yet.
