Remember?! One month ago? When I said I my Internet wasn't working? Well... IT IS FINALLY FIXED!!!

Took them one month to figure out what was the problem! And, hehehe.... Wanna know what the problem was? Someone had screwed up the courts so the box where I get my connection, which was labeled 1.A, WAS REALLY 2.A!!! So! When I made the order, IT WENT TO THE FRIKIN' WRONG ROOM!!! So, to my knowledge, I've had solid Internet connection this whole month, ONLY IN DIFFERENT ROOM!!!

Well! At least it is fixed now... And I have my new faster connection (hey, this time I pay for this)! Boy DA pages load fast now!

I have the net back! Kinda... They STILL haven't fixed my normal net but at least I have now this wireless-internet-modem-sticky-thingie. (quote by Ile) that I got for free for next the two weeks. I sincerely hope they fix my net by that.

Oh dear... Over a week without a good Internet connection. I managed to visit this place every now and then thanks to school but oh dear! I am happy to get the net back. I HAD TO WATCH TV! I ACTUALLY HAD TO WATCH TV for entertainment! There is only so much TV shop, fashion and reality TV I can take!

But! It is great to be back online! I'll be spending this whole day watching ALL the Let's Plays and other Internet shows I missed.

Hello little deerlings!

Jenna here reporting! Just letting you guys know that moving went pretty well... Despite some hectic time management. I love my new house and it is awesome. Except it is little cold but hey, whole Europe should know how cold it is right now!

But! The most important thing I need you guys to know is that I currently have no acces to the Internet in my own house and I am currently reporting from my school. I have some problems getting the free Internet acces that is part of my contract... All who live in HOAS appartments get free Internet so I assume there is a HUGE line since first day of every month is the moving day in Hoas appartments... Plus, I think Sonera (the one who offers the Internet acces) is having a service problem. JUST great. I have no idea when I'll get my own computer to net but hopefully soon. But if you don't hear ANYTHING from me during this weekend, you know why.

*sigh* I should go home... But I don't want to leave the Internet...  

Puh! Just letting you guys know that this is the week I'll move to my new house so I'll be really busy with that.
Also, my new job start on this week too soo... Yeah. Hopefully everything will be back to (somewhat) more normal by the end of the week. Thus, I might be a bit quiet here on DA this week so don't be alarmed!

You know what is the worst thing about moving? Throwing away your awesome cardboard video game packages because you simply have no room for them! *hugs her Zelda Skyward Sword box*

Hello little deerlings!

Hope you all had a great Holiday and were able to relax. I sure did and it was nice to come home and start drawing again!
But! I have some very important subjects (as seen in title) I would like to talk about.

Work

Right now. I have three different jobs. And if you are interested to know what I do, I color pictures for children's book and different pictures for different products. I also got a job as a junior 2D artist in a video game project. I am also planning to do my final exam about this project.

This obviously means that those are my main priorities when it comes to drawing. I am working on a new children's book at the moment and the video game project start in next month. Thus, my spring will be very busy. I am sure you understand that means I have even less time to work on comics and random art. I hope you understand. I'll try to get next two pages of DD done soon. After all, sketch versions of those pages are somewhere in the Internet already.

Moving

Another BIG thing that will keep me busy in January. I am moving to a new house. My roommate is traveling to Britain for 5 months to study thus I can no longer stay in our current student friend apartment. So, I'll be moving soon. Nothing that serious since I am only moving from a student apartment to another but it will sure keep me occupied a moment.

Removing Personal Art

Ah, I think this is the part that got you interested. Yes, I am planning to remove ALL of my personal art and dedicate this account only to my comics and fan art. Why I am doing this? Well... It is hard to explain but I guess I felt that that is what people expect from me. Fan art and fan comics. I don't feel my original art belongs in here. Thus, I am removing them and I will upload them to another account I have created.

Yes, I'll be having two accounts. This one, BehindtG, will be my "fun" account. Fan art, fan comics and group activities (I am planning to try to join another group). If that is what you enjoy seeing from me, then stick here and let's just have fun!

Then, I'll have my another account. This will be more personal to me and features only original art. My own characters, not based on any fandom. If you are interested in ANY kind of art I produce, you might want to follow me there too. Note, I haven't uploaded ANYTHING there yet so I am not giving my new account just yet. It is still under work.

So, don't be alarmed when all the sudden a large amount of art disappears  from my gallery (I might clean some old fan art too). I don't know when I will do this but soon.

Just quickly updating my journal before the holidays! I'll be leaving to celebrate Christmas with my family 23 of December and come back some time after New Year. So, most likely not any major new art during that time. Except... THAT one annual one. You know what I am talking about, right?

Hello everyone! I just wanted to write a journal about the Black on White comic I announced a long time ago! I'd love to let you guys know how the comic is doing considering it's almost December and I kinda promised the comic would start in 2011...

Well, as I have said. The comic started as a small project. Something I would draw for fun. But as the time passed, I got into the story more and more and it became more complicated that I had planned. I really got into it and wanted the story to be something I am pleased with. I kept getting new ideas and to be honest, I got my latest (and hopefully last) epiphany last week. THIS is why I have kept quiet about the series and pretty much not revealed anything new about the story since January. And I plan to keep it that way. All you know now, is what we will start the comic.

Now, this is a bit problematic. You see, I did promise to upload bios of the main characters. And I will, I have Travolta, Marshall and Lennon pretty much ready but the problem is that I am not sure if I want to post them before the comic. No matter how I write them, their bios are going to contain spoilers for some aspects of the story, mostly about the new region and what is so special about it. So I might wait till I am done with chapter 2 (don't worry, these should go MUCH faster than RD comic) and then upload Travolta's and Lennon's bios. I kinda had and idea of posting bios as we meet the characters in the comic but that would mean we wouldn't see Moe's bio (I changed Darunia's name) until much later...  *sigh* Maybe I'll start the comic and upload them all after most of the spoiler stuff is done.

So, when will the comic start? Well... I still don't want to give exact date but I'd say we are closer than ever to me finally accepting the story as it is. It could be very possible that I can't keep my promise and start it in 2011 due to reasons that I own some art, I got more freelance work and I need to start working on my final school exam (it's going to be an animation, wohoo).

Anyway, thanks for being patience with this and showing great interest in this comic even though I haven't revealed much about it.

Let's make this short... France was awesome! Saw all must-see things like the Eiffel tower, Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, Etc... How can one city have so many famous things?! You bet my feet are killing me! One week is certainly not enough...

And of course... DISNEYLAND WAS FRIKIN' AWESOME! We went there at the moment it opened and stayed there till the closing time. I chat with Jack Sparrow and Jasmine. Saw many other character. Spent almost 150 euros on plushies and toys (I REGRET NOTHING!!!). Tried many rides... We really chose a great day to visit the park because there weren't many people there that day. I only had to wait 5 minutes to get to the space mountain. (U jelly?)) And the day had a perfect ending at the Disney Village with a huge fire work show... Aah... I finally made my childhood dream come true. And as they said in Tangled, the best thing about making your dream come true, is that you get to choose a new dream (or something like that).

It was awesome, but I missed you guys and I am happy to be home too.

Hello everyone! I have VERY important announcement to make! I am going to the Disneyland!!! OMGWHEESOGAISDFASH!!!

Okay, let's back a little... So what is going on? Well, I am going on a vacation with my cousin and our parents to France this Sunday (6th November) and come back next Sunday (13th). This obviously means that I won't be that active during that time. Heck, I am not sure if I can visit DA so don't be alarmed if I don't answer your notes/comments/etc.

But I am very excited! OMG Disneyland!!! WHEE! Okay, I guess France and Paris has those... other stuff too... Like that... tower thingie... And that painting, Mona, what's-her-name... But Yes! Disneyland! I swear I promised to myself when I was four or five that I would go there someday and FINALLY, after 17 years I am making my childhood dream come true. I know, silly but... Oh the glee!

Haha, okay in all seriousness, I'll be in France for the next upcoming week so don't expect me to be that active here. I'll try to get my Halloween PKMNC picture done today and... Oh! Edna told me to tell you guys to be patient with some project she is doing now. Apparently she partied too hard with her ghost friends this halloween and needs some sleep time. Huh, what is she talking about? What project...? Oh well.

Alright! I finally made my choice! Sorry this took this long but I have two reasons:

1. I got little sick (nothing serious)

2. YOU GUYS REALLY MADE THIS HARD!

I swear I had at least 5 to 8 trainers that caught my interest and I would have loved to use them but no... These were some hard decisions. Especially final round. I swear I was about to use two characters in the comic or even flip a frikin' coin to make this decision!  But in the end... I made my choice.

I chose her because she clearly loves her character and her gallery is full of beautiful art and comics of her team. I've been familiar with her works earlier and I am honored that she gave me this opportunity to use her great character in my comic.

So congrats Winnie-Beatles and THANK YOU everyone who posted me your wonderful characters. I can't say this enough! Like I said, there were many interesting characters and it was really shame that I had to choose only one! BUT that will change. Remember when I said I might do something similar again in the future? Let's say I might need more random OC trainers in the fifth chapter...

Thank you everyone for all the notes you sent me! I will no longer accept any more notes but I got about 50 different trainer candidates waiting for a proper check up! I skimmed through you all and I must say you people have some nice OCs. EVEN though some of you tried your luck and posted me trainers that have only about one or two birds in their teams. Oh sneaky you.

BUT! I will start the judging now. This might take some time so please be patient with me. I will announce the winner in next journal and send him/her a note. So keep your eyes on my journal.

Phew! I must say... You guys really didn't make this an easy decision! Thank you again for showing so much interest!

You read that right! I am looking for original pokemon trainer characters that are specialized in bird/flying pokemon for the comic. There is going to be a scene where Jenna discusses about Matthew with a bird trainer and I figured that I might as well ask if anyone wants their character to make a cameo rather than make my own trainer.

Now here is what I have planned to do. Mind that this gives some spoilers of the comic so if you are not interested in this and don't want to be spoiled, no need to read further.
The trainer would give Jenna some advice how to handle Matthew and this is an important factor that pushes the comic forward. I would also make it so that this trainer also has a female chatot with her and she would be Sibelius' mother.

Sounds good? You got interested? Here is what you do.

RULES     
Send me a NOTE with a link to a bio/some sort of picture of your OC trainer. I would prefer him/her to be a bird expert. I would also prefer picture bios.
The character must have been made BEFORE this journal was posted. Don't just go and make up your bird trainer oc because you want to be in my comic.
Sending me a note you give me a permission to use your character in the comic. Note that I have already written the dialog so I won't let you know exactly what will happen but I'll do my best to keep your character... in character.
Your oc Doesn't have to have a female chatot in his/her roster for real. You would just agree that he/she happened to have one now when visiting Jenna. But if your character has a female chatot and you don't mind making her officially Sibelius' mother and Marlowe's love, I am fine with that.

Alright! If you have any questions, ask here. This scene where your OC would appear would be pages...*counts* Most likely pages 25-26. And those of you who don't have bird/flying specialized trainers... Just wait. I might do something similar in the next chapter...

Edit! THANK YOU so much for so many responses! I have currently over 40 notes waiting in my note box and I shall start checking them as soon as I can! I will accept notes till Tuesday and then I will update this journal once again to let you know I am done.

Oh and some questions I got:

You don't need to  have a written bio of your character in your gallery. As long as there is one picture in your gallery (even sketch is fine), it is all good. You can even write the bio in note.

Yes, you can draw a newer and better picture of your OC if you think the one you have currently is too old and crappy. As long as there is one deviation that shows he/she was there before this journal, it is all good.

There are a few things I need to mention.

As I mentioned, August was not a good month for me. I had lots of work and I was in a hurry and this created some stress and frustration. Thus, I feel that some comments and actions I made during that time, were not the best. I still hold on to my opinions I had stated but if you feel that I have come off as rude in some of my comments, I apology that.

I also want to apologize  and thank those who have been SO patient with the Dear Departed and not pestered me about the updates. I am currently working on the linearts of pages 17 and 18 (17 is done and 18 should be ready today). Once again, I am sorry that you had to wait this long and thank you for not pestering me about it. The new pages ARE coming soon! This is a PROMISE!

Nintendo! Y U not make Battle Revolution 2?!

Blargh! I'm not gonna lie, not the best month for me. I had so much work to do that I became little tired and stressful. And when I thought I was almost done, I got another job that had to be finished before August ends! Uh, I am REALLY happy for the experience and the payment but it sure took a lot from me. Thankfully I am now all done and I can rest now. Well, I kinda have to because after I got all my work done, I got sick! Typical. *sneezes*

But yeah, it's September and I should FINALLY have some time for my personal works. I think the next big things in my mind are:

1. Next two pages of DD
2. Bios for Black on White

DD pages will come when they are done (sketches are ready) and I have already started BoW bios so they shouldn't take too much time. After them, I'll start the comic as soon as I am ready and happy with the story (still one tiny itchy bitsy detail needs to fixed).

As for commissions, I've been doing so much art for others now that I need to take a break (and it is very possible that I might get more commissions from my employees) so I won't accept Internet commissions for now. BUT! If you are in a need for a commission, my BF, has started to accept commissions. Take a look at his gallery and see if his style pleases your commission needs.

Just letting you know that August will be the busiest month for me. I still have two jobs and the other is taking my day time and the other my evening time. In evening job, I still have two big pictures to color and these usually take me at least a week to complete thanks to the little time I have. I also have 5 other smaller pictures coming so pretty much all my drawing energy has to be put into these. Especially since I have a deadline.

So, expect August to be quiet for any big updates. (So STOP asking when DD is going to update!) I'll doodle something now and then to keep my sanity on so remember to keep an eye on my scrap gallery.

After August... I think it is time to start thinking about Black on White.... But more of that then.

Hello everyone! I am here just to thank you ALL for all the birthday wishes! Thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday, gave me llama points and normal points and especially you who took your time to write or draw me something. I love you guys! Thanks again!  

As for the Fincon/Animecon. I had fun! I came home with an infernape, a pansage and a munchlax plushies (munchie was a Bday gift from my boyfriend) + infernape and lucario figures! MONEY WELL SPENT!

Hey Finnish friends! Finncon and Animecon are both this weekend in Turku and I am coming! Me and are coming there on Saturday so if you are there then, feel free to come and say hi if you manage to spot us (yeah, easier said than done). I'll be wearing my "Goldenrod City - Radio Tower" T-shirt [link] and a bag that looks like a Ness controller with little Kirby keychain plushie and other random crap on it. I no longer have my ridiculously long red hair so don't be fooled by that.

An dang... I feel so tempted to buy 3DS JUST to pass on some street passes there! I might just do that if I get my two months KELA payments that they own me...   Anyway! See you there! (and stay away from the pokemon plushies! They are mine!)

Hello little deerlings! I hope everyone is having a great summer (or winter)!

I'm just here to update my status.
Okay, like I said in my last journal, I am very busy with two works at the moment so I might not have that much time to do big projects. Thus, expect some smaller doodles for now. I've been updating my scrap folder a lot so if you don't have it on your watch list, you've been missing some pictures!

As for big projects...

Even though I don't have much time. I'll try to finish the ongoing Cotton&Napoleon egg saga. I think it's time for that egg to hatch soon...

BUT! The biggest news! I am HAPPY to say that Black on White story is pretty much finished! I am 99% happy with the script and there are only tiny little things I need to think before starting the comic itself. I also need to finally decide how will the comic look (I'm thinking a black and white comic). Then there are also the bios. Like I promised, I am planning to do character bios of BoW characters just like I did of RD characters. These bios will be smaller though and won't have much history info but I'm sure they will be interesting.

But, like I said. I am busy with work so I have no idea when the BoW comic will start. Someday, when you least expect it I suppose.
