I'm relieved at this. Even though I saw the trailer as well, I promised myself that I'd jump in the next generation blind and learn the new pokemon as I go. I pretty much have to avoid Serebii now, though.
Don't worry about not drawing the new Pokémon, if anything it's actually a relief since my inbox (and DA in general) is flooded with the new starters. I've known of their existence for only 2 days and I'm already starting to get sick of them XD
Although, the new starters are cute (I especially love Fennekin). Of course, I don’t think I’ll be buying the games since I’ve never been a hardcore fan of the PKMN games (I’ve always been more interested in the PKMN themselves than the games), much less if it’s just another rehash with a different roster. If they do decid to add new content and give the games some variation, I may consider getting one of them.
Sure, it can get boring in single player but when playing with other humans, this style brings it's best. One of my favourite moments have been when battling on wifi with other people and out predicting them. Move limitations REALLY make you think what is the best strategy to use and building a whole working team is a great challenge thanks to these limitations. You can't imagine the satisfaction when you realize you have build a team that works together like a dream.
Sure, this doesn't mean anything if you don't play with other people. But heck, I skipped gen 5 competitive battling yet I STILL build two competitive teams. I love creating. I love thinking different ways to train pokemon. I must be the only person in world who uses belly drumming slowbro in a double battle team. And now that sixth gen is on 3DS and in 3D, I think I'll get back to wifi battling. So to me, the games only start after I've beaten the story mode and got all the items and I have access to most pokemon and I can start training for real! That is why I don't mind the turn based RPG. It is a battle of minds and strategies.
I'm trying to avoid spoilers too, because you sounded like you had a lot of fun when you played white. Any tips?
I probably won't draw them either (besides a sketch or two), I don't like drawing pokemon until they become 'official'. Plus, there's so much fanart now it'll see pretty pointless. The one thing I hate about new pokemon is that my inbox becomes flooded with them.
Yes! I had SO much fun with Japanese white. Tips? Well... Now that we get the english version at the same time... There are no problems at playing or understand what is going on. One tip I can give is to get a friend who doesn't mind about getting spoiled. I had my friend checking sites such as serebii for me and telling me if they were okay to look at. XD She also consulted a walkthrough when ever I got stuck in the Japanese version.
Ironic I was actually making a tumblr BG a day before the starter flood. I still can't believe how fast everyone can draw of those guys XD And so much Fennekin! And I guess 10 months isn't thaaaat much of a wait.....right?

Its just that the other day, I asked you to look at my starters and then the next thing I see is this picture and I thought. "oh great, she must have been pestered by all these people to see their fakemon (heck, you even drew ones for someone)" and then I had to be a part of the pester club.
