Still waiting for my New Leaf so why not ease the waiting and join an Animal Crossing inspired group! For the longest of time I have wanted to join a non-pokemon group and this was perfect! Hope you'll like Maxwell and enjoy some original character related (even if he is AC inspired) art here.

Personality: Pretentious
Brave, modest and generous, those are the virtues of a great treasure hunter right? Too bad Maxwell was never a great treasure hunter. He's not really brave. He's definitely not modest and is mainly seeking fame and fortune. Unfortunately he is a bit of klutz and rarely anything goes like he wants. Thankfully he can be as stubborn as a mule and despite his shortcomings, he never gives up. He's polite and a bit of a smooth talker but he's not above lying. Especially if you have something he sees as valuable and he wants. He will try to convince you it's nothing special and is happy to take it out of your hands, smiling innocently while doing so. He's not really bad though. He just thinks himself before others and he's desperate to prove that he's not a failure.

History:
Maxwell was born in a small town near arid Australian deserts. He was the only child and he lived a fairly normal life. Though he had one dream. Maxwell wanted to be a treasure hunter! Go on adventures! Discover new places! Find rare artifacts and animals! Get famous! Oh yeah! That is what he wanted! Too bad fate had different plans. Maxwell's first "adventure" ended up as a failure when the little lizard got lost near the Uluru. Despite the drawback, Maxwell didn't give up and kept pursuing his dream career.

After graduating, Maxwell left home. He was now sure he could make it but harsh truth hit him hard. Maxwell had still a poor sense of direction and he got lost fairly often. He also found out that he was easily scared. Jumping and getting startled by smallest of things. To top it off, he was bad at making fair deals which resulted him working mostly alone. This all made him somewhat a joke among other adventures and treasure hunters. Despite all this, Maxwell never lost his confidence in his (exaggerated) skills and he refused to give up. He would be famous treasure hunter someday!

But it was like lady Luck and father Time had a wicked sense of humor as the years went by without any luck. Maxwell kept traveling around the world with no success. To fund all this, he had to take any kind of odd jobs to earn that little bit of money he needed. Sometimes he was working in restaurants. Sometimes he was a janitor. One night he was working in a bar...

It was almost closing time but there was still one customer left. This animal looked shady and Maxwell mustered his courage and told him to pay his drinks. The animal guffawed and told him that he didn't have enough to pay him for all drinks but he could give Maxwell something else for payment... The animal reached for his pocket and gave him something. It was a letter. Maxwell cautiously took it and opened it. It was an invite, an invite and tickets to a town he had never heard of. Maxwell gave the shady customer a confused look. The animal guffawed again. He told it was an invite to a new town but he was too old to travel anymore and Maxwell looked like he could put this invite in a better use. Maxwell was hesitant at first but pondered animal's words. Maybe he was right. Years had gone by fast and Maxwell was certainly not getting any younger. Maybe this... "Idlewood" place was his big chance! He turned around to thank the animal but he was gone... There were only couple acorns left as the rest of payment....


Hobbies:
• Reading and studying history and old mythology. When Maxwell is not traveling, you will most likely found him in a library researching where he should head next.
• Fossil hunting. Comes with the job!
• Sketching. He's not a master artist but Maxwell sometimes draws on his free time.

Catchphrase: "Golden" Usually used in the end of questions.

Job:
•Treasure hunter! Despite his lack of success, he still considers this as his main job.
•Odd jobs. To fund his "main job", Maxwell is ready (not eager mind you) to accept almost any job. He has quite resume.

• Maxwell's last name is Spanish and means "Lost".
• His grandfather was a bearded lizard, thus his handsome "spike beard"
• He spreads his frills when he is scared or excited.
• Since he has been doing odd jobs for so long, he is quite good with his hands and knows a lot about different jobs. He is not master in any area tho.
• Has an Australian accent.
• Maxwell is a bit stingy with money and tries to haggle often.
