Purugly and heatmor for :iconuglypokemonlove:'s collaboration project. Ideas is to draw our favourite "ugly" pokemon for a one big group picture. I chose purugly and heatmor.

Not much to say about purugly. She is my favourite cat pokemon.

Ah, heatmor! One of my 5th gen faves! One reason I chose him was that I really wanted to draw this fella. I still find his design quite strange but I think that is why I really like him. His flame tongue is really cool.

Now, I'm an Excadrill fan. Not because of the game - although of course that counts! - but because in the cartoon, a happy 'drill is one of the cutest-looking things! ^-^ And a PO'd 'drill is one of the wickedest looking.
I've not seen a Heatmor with 'happy eyes' yet, but I think the same would apply.

That Purugly looks like supposedly fat mom of Tom form Tom&Jerry, nice :D (sorry for stupid imagination thing she just looks like she could be one)
But...Heatmor. I don't know why people call him ugly, his design is so cool and badass! And his sad/angry eyes, so cute. Anteaters are beautiful, so is Heatmor.
You did a great job capturing him in such dynamic pose C:

Thanks! And I actually agree about heatmor. I don't actually see much ugly talk about him... Which is GREAT. I just find it funny how I am so used to people complaining about simplest things in pokemon design and heatmor looks like he would be considered ugly but I am happy to be wrong here. :)

I know, he's not the typical cutesy fluffy Pokemon but he's awesome. And his expression imho is cuter than any other pretty pocket monster's, but that's just me, a fan of anteaters ^^"

When I first saw purugly, I was like, "Meow(my creatively named glameow)! Take this everstone and DON'T LET IT GO!"
But now, I looked up 'ugly pokemon' online and everything i saw said purugly was hideous, and so now i love it. This picture helped too. :)

who else finds it strange that that heatmor's flame looks like an anteater's tongue (yea I know thats what its based off of)
