I wanted to challenge myself and I decided to practice some digital painting with a more realistic look rather than cartoon. I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and proof that I am not a one trick pony. I am quite happy with the outcome.
So, I wanted to draw my view of a "realistic" sableye. To me, he is pokemon world's gremlin, mixed with Gollum. Thus, it always amuses me when I see people drawing him with a fur. Since sableye is a creature that can grow diamonds out of his body, I'd say his skin needs to be hard, almost mineral like. This is how I prefer my sableyes. Creepy and gremlin like!
Hope you like it! I'd love to experiment with digital painting more. I seriously need to get faster at it. Gotta practice some speed painting. And feel free to give me any tips!

The time I used pencil linearts? Uuh... I dunno. Gave me more trouble than it was worth. Plus, even my pencil linearts have evolved into more smoother and rounder.
That's the think thought I seem to be interested in rough and sketchy which was your first style that drew me into DA in the first place. I don't mean to be rude and I do like your current style as well I just kinda like older things for some reason. Though I do love how you draw Winslow in your current style. C:
So I'm not coming off as a jerk? I've seen too many people get hurt from comments I would normally shrug off but not that type of person or they would consider it rude so I just want to make sure so that I can avoid the "I miss your old style even though your new style is great too." Comment in the future.
;v;
